We are going to have our first PTO meeting of the year on Tuesday, September 7 at 6:30 pm in the school cafeteria. We want parents to attend the meeting and contribute our school by their support.

| CELL PHONE POLICY |
Harmony Science Academy is not responsible for any lost or damaged devices. During school hours, parents should continue to call the school for any emergency situation. We will contact your son/daughter. Do not try to contact them by cell phone or pager. The use of camera phones is strictly forbidden on the school premises at any time. Such use may also be in violation of the criminal code. Consequences : 1st Offense : Parents/guardian contacted. Confiscation of the devices with retrieval only by parents/guardian along with a $10 fee. HSA is not responsible for the confiscated items which are not received one week after confiscation. 2nd Offense: Parents/guardian contacted. Up to Two (2) day suspension. Device will be confiscated and device will be given to parent on or after last day of school along with a $10 fee.

| STUDENT ID CARD |

Dear Parents and Students New student id cards will be ready on Monday at the front office. The students will use their id cards to get lunch & breakfast and get books from the school library. The student id fee is $10. Students shouldn’t give their id card to other students and they should keep it with them at all times during the school hours.

| GRADING SCALE |
|
All classes at HSA-Laredo will follow this standard scale for assigning letter grades for six-week periods, finals and semester work. Individual teachers will establish the grading policies and procedures for their classes, and their grades will correspond to this scale: A : 90 - 100 B : 80 - 89 C : 70 - 79 F : 0 - 69
Conduct Grades: E : Excellent S : Satisfactory N : Needs Improvement P : Poor I : Incomplete

| PARENT PORTAL HAS BEEN ACTIVATED FOR OUR PARENTS |
You can log in to the school database and monitor your child's progress. What you need to do is to enter your user name and password as shown on the left and click on login button.
User Name: Your child's first name and last name with a space between them.
Password for returning students: Their password from last year is effective. If you don't remember what it is we can reset it for you.
Password for new students: Last four digits of your child's social security number.

| LUNCH APPLICATION FOR NEW AND CURRENT STUDENTS |
HSA is offering free and reduced meal for our students. You can apply by filling out the form in the link. The current students must apply again to keep their status for meal. Parents must make payments in advance. We can not offer meals if the balance is negative. Please check your child's meail balance from the our school website or Monday mail.
