Dear Parents,
Last day for summer tutorials will be Monday, June 29th. The following is a schedule of TAKS for Math and Reading retest.TAKS test will start at 9AM and students will have whole day to complete the exam.
Test Dates for TAKS:
June 30 (Tues)
Grade 5 Mathematics (retest)
Grade 8 Mathematics (retest)

July 1 (Wed)
Grade 3 Reading (retest)
Grade 5 Reading (retest)
Grade 8 Reading (retest)

According to the Credit by Exam (CBE) test manual students will have 3 hours to complete CBE test.
Following schedule is for CBE exam:
Monday, July 6, 2009 at 10:00 AM Mathematics
Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 10:00 AM Science
Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 10:00 AM Social Studies
Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 10:00 AM Language Arts

Harmony Schools have arranged a summer leadership camp for the girls at T & Barm Conference Center in San Antonio between June 7-12. Three students have attended the leadership camp from our school. Tiffany Buford, Sabrina Bustamante, and Esmeralda Williams. They had wonderful time with different activities, games, swimming pool and etc. They made a lot of new friends from all around Texas. We would like to see more students in next year's summer camp.

Harmony Schools had arranged a summer camp for boys at Cho-Yeh between June 4-June 10. Four students have attanded to the camp from our school. Ivon Mota, Steven Hernandez, Carlos Lozano and Juan Hernandez. They had a great time and made a lot of new friends from other Harmony Schools all around Texas. They had chance to try different activities such as archery, climbing, swimming, water polo, soccer, voleyball, and more. They had a presentation about college applications, SAT, and PSAT. We would like to see more students in the next year's Harmony Schools Leadership Camp.

Harmony Science Academy has witnessed one of the most exciting graduation of 2008-2009. HSA has graduated its kindergarten students first time in Laredo. Our kindergarteners have dressed up so nice to make jealous everybody. There were too much joy all around the cafeteria. We would like to thank Ms. Leah Gomez and all the parents to make this wanderful graduation happenned. Go Kinders !!!

Harmony Science Academy has arranged 5th grade graduation on May 30, Saturday. It was one of the most wonderful day of the year. It was so nice to see our 5th grade students in very beautiful dresses and suits. Our 5th graders showed one more time that they are all ready for middle school. It was a big proud to give their diplomas to them. We would like to thank all the 5th grade teachers and all the volounteer parents to make this wonderful 5th grade graduation happenned.

Our 8th grade students had a wonderful graduation on May 30, 2009. Mr. Mayor Salinas gave a wonderful inspring speech to our 8th graders. Also he gave out the diplomas and trophies for the outstanding students throughout the year. We got a lot of joy and happiness to see our 8th graders to see in cap and gowns. Boys and girls dressed up so nice. They had a delicious dinner together and after the dinner, they got a graduation party in the school cafeteria. They showed us that class of 2013 is already ready for the college. We would like to thank Mayor Salinas, all 8th grade teachers, the students and the parents who helped us to make this wonderful evening happenned.

We had our first end of year award ceremony. We gave out medals to our AB honor roll students and A honor roll students all year. We would like to congratulate all the students and the parents.
